Founder & Director

With over 18 years of experience in education and leadership, my professional journey reflects a lifelong commitment to children, learning, and community impact.

Before founding Fun Nest in 2020, I served as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Director for DuPont, a global multinational corporation, where I specialized in environmental management and organizational leadership. I also completed postgraduate studies in People Management, strengthening my ability to lead teams, mentor professionals, and build structured, high-quality programs.

Even while working in the corporate sector, my passion for children never paused. I led environmental education initiatives in partnership with local schools and municipal programs, organizing tree-planting projects, sustainability workshops, and classroom presentations focused on water conservation and environmental responsibility. I frequently collaborated with community leaders and presented at public events, always with a focus on educating and empowering young children.

For over 13 years, I also served as a catechist in my community church, teaching and mentoring children through faith-based education, mission projects, and youth development programs. My work with children began even earlier, I cared for families as a babysitter during my teenage years and recognized from a young age that working with children was my true calling.

Although my career path expanded into corporate leadership, my heart remained rooted in early childhood education. Since moving to North America in 2016, I have dedicated myself exclusively to serving young children and families, combining my background in leadership, environmental education, and child development to create a program grounded in professionalism, structure, and genuine care.

Today, as the founder of Fun Nest Child Care in Erie, I bring the same commitment to excellence I practiced in corporate leadership, paired with the warmth, consistency, and individualized attention that define a boutique early learning environment.

My Philosophy

Every child deserves to be seen, understood, and guided with respect. By building strong relationships and understanding each child's unique learning style, I create an environment where children feel confident, capable, and inspired to grow.

I believe that trust, respect, and developmentally appropriate practices form the foundation children need to become happy, healthy, and successful learners.

Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher

I truly love working with children and feel grateful to be part of a profession where I can support their growth and development every day.

As a founding member of Fun Nest Child Care, I have been part of the program since it was established in 2020. Over the past six years, I have helped shape the nurturing, structured, and consistent environment that defines our school today.

I believe that providing young children with consistent structure and routine helps build the strong foundations they need to feel confident and prepared as they transition to kindergarten. Creating a balanced environment where children feel secure yet encouraged to explore is at the heart of my teaching approach.

I take a hands-on and intentional approach to guiding children in learning respect for their teachers, peers, and themselves. I believe it is never too early to begin teaching these important social-emotional skills, and I intentionally deliver these lessons in ways that are engaging, positive, and developmentally appropriate.

I began my journey in early childhood education in Brazil, where I worked within a kindergarten and preschool organization. My educational philosophy centers on encouraging children to develop critical thinking skills and confidence from their very first steps, using art, music, purposeful activities, and meaningful play as essential tools for learning.

At Fun Nest, I bring this same passion and commitment to creating a nurturing, structured classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
