At Fun Nest Child Care, we offer developmentally appropriate programs for children ages 6 months through 5 years in thoughtfully designed, small-group learning environments. Our curriculum is play-based and research-informed, aligned with the Colorado Early Learning & Development Guidelines, and focused on nurturing confident, curious, and capable learners.

Each program is intentionally designed to support the unique developmental needs of every age group while maintaining the warmth and individualized attention of our boutique early learning environment.

Infant Program (6 Months to 18 Months)

Our Infant Program provides a secure, nurturing, and responsive environment where children build trust, explore their surroundings, and develop foundational skills.

Through responsive caregiving and intentional interaction, we support:

Early language development
Sensory exploration
Gross and fine motor growth
Secure attachment and social-emotional development

Our educators follow each infant's individual routines while encouraging age-appropriate discovery and engagement.

Toddler Program (18 Months - 3 Years)

Toddlers are active explorers, and our program supports their growing independence and curiosity.

Children engage in hands-on, play-based experiences that promote:

Communication and emerging language
Early problem-solving skills
Social interaction and emotional regulation
Physical coordination and motor development

Our teachers guide learning through structured play and meaningful daily routines that build confidence and self-help skills.

Preschool Program (3 - 4 Years)

In the preschool years, children expand their thinking, language, and creativity.

Our curriculum includes:

Creative arts, music, and dramatic play
Social-emotional development and relationship building

Activities are intentionally planned to prepare children for Pre-K while maintaining a joyful and engaging learning atmosphere.

Pre-K Program (4 - 5 Years)

Our Pre-K Program prepares children for a confident transition to kindergarten through a balanced focus on academic readiness, social development, and emotional confidence.

In our intentionally small classroom setting, children benefit from individualized attention while participating in both structured and exploratory learning experiences designed to strengthen:

• Early reading and writing skills
• Mathematical reasoning
• Executive functioning and independence
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Critical thinking and problem-solving

We believe kindergarten readiness goes beyond academics. Our goal is to ensure each child leaves Fun Nest feeling confident, capable, socially prepared, and excited for their next educational step.

Universal Preschool - UPK Colorado

Fun Nest Child Care proudly participates in Colorado’s Universal Preschool (UPK) Program while maintaining the small, relationship-centered environment that defines our school.

Through UPK Colorado, eligible families may receive financial support toward their child’s preschool year. At Fun Nest, UPK students are part of an intentionally small Pre-K classroom designed to provide individualized attention, strong teacher-child relationships, and a calm, nurturing atmosphere during this important year before kindergarten.

Children enrolled through UPK receive:

• Small group learning experiences
• A play-based, whole-child curriculum
• Focused kindergarten readiness support
• Social-emotional development in a close-knit setting
• A confident and supported transition into elementary school

Because we prioritize quality and individualized care, Pre-K enrollment at Fun Nest is intentionally limited.
